Erica is a Program Operations Associate with the Global Health Innovation team and supports innovators in the Transition-to-Scale program.
She holds a Master of Management of Applied Science specializing in Global Health Systems from Western University. During her studies, Erica spent three months in Uganda at the Joint Clinical Research Centre where she developed and led a health promotion program focused on the critical relationship between maternal health and nutrition.
Prior to her Masters, Erica earned a Bachelor of Health Science from Western University. In addition to her academic achievements, she led Western’s chapter of Jack.org, a Canadian non-profit that mobilizes youth to reduce the barriers to positive mental health in their communities. Erica and two of her colleagues have recently taken their passion for health equity and developed an initiative called Global Health at Home. Here, Erica leads interactive activities for elementary and high school students where they discuss the challenges surrounding health equity, while inspiring students to explore career opportunities within the field of global health.
Outside of work, Erica enjoys trying new foods and being outdoors, including hiking, skiing, and camping.
