Tracy Smith is the Senior Director, People & Culture at Grand Challenges Canada, working in partnership with the people at GCC to foster a vibrant workplace and optimal environment where all employees can thrive.

Tracy comes to us with 15+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, and communications. During that time, she was also a leader with operational and inter-departmental oversight across all facets of the business. Tracy is passionate about the employee experience and ensuring everyone feels part of a healthy, inclusive, collaborative culture where their voices are valued and heard.

She has an honours degree in Humanities (History) with a minor in Science, Technology and Public Policy from McMaster University and a post-graduate diploma in Journalism New Media from Sheridan College. Outside of work, Tracy loves all things creative and exploring the great outdoors with her husband and daughter.
