Nicole is a Program Officer with Grand Challenges Canada. She leads the Global Mental Health Program, working to support innovations that improve treatments and expand access to mental health care in low-resource settings.
Nicole has extensive mental health and early learning experience. Prior to joining Grand Challenges Canada, she served as research manager at a Toronto children’s mental health agency, overseeing a research program that supported clinical teams in providing effective prevention and intervention services. Previously, Nicole was the senior researcher for a provincial autism non-profit where she developed research and evaluation projects to support evidence-based programming and consulted often with various government ministries.
She holds an MSc in Psychology from the University of Edinburgh and a PhD in Developmental Psychology from Queen’s University. Nicole was also a lecturer with the Department of Psychology at Ryerson University where she created and taught Child Development courses.
