Kikelomo Koya is a Social Finance Manager with the Global Health Innovation team at Grand Challenges Canada. Her primary role is to oversee the Transition to Scale repayables portfolio.
Kike’s professional experience lies at the intersection of finance and social impact. She previously worked on a UK Department for International Development (DFID) funded market system development program in Nigeria, where she designed and managed the program’s access to finance and Challenge Fund interventions. These interventions used grant and blended financial instruments to catalyze private sector participation in social innovation, economic inclusion, and impact initiatives. Prior to this, Kike led a commercial banking unit in a top-tier bank and supported small to mid-sized businesses with accessing various forms of debt financing. Prior to joining Grand Challenges Canada, Kike supported a community-based non-profit with a feasibility study that explored hybrid financing mechanisms needed to expand access to employment skills training for persons living on low income, while creating self-generated revenue streams for the non-profit.
Kike has a Master’s in Management and Consulting from Lancaster University and an expert in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME) finance certification from the Frankfurt Institute of Finance, Germany.
