40% of Bangladeshi children are stunted, which means that they are too short for their age. This is caused by poor nutrition and chronic infection. Max Healthy Village gives children under the age of 5 a healthy start in life by tackling stunting and faecal- and water-borne diseases. Max Healthy Village integrates scientific (WASH+ approach to stunting), social (Max Healthy Village designation and child growth monitoring) and business (sustainable sanitation market model) innovations.
