Early childhood interventions are critical to offset the negative impact of early adversity and to ensure children can reach their developmental potential. Through previous efforts, Right to Care Zambia has developed a community based parenting intervention and demonstrated that this intervention can improve child developmental outcomes. They now propose to use newly established maternity waiting homes and affiliated Safe Motherhood Action Group leaders (SMAGs) as a novel platform to launch and support community-based parenting groups.
