Start Date: 01/05/2016- End Date: 30/08/2019

CASITA is an evidence-based, culturally-specific, early intervention delivered by community health workers in Lima, Peru. This low-cost, community-based strategy improves neurodevelopment among children ages 6-24 months. Identified through the pilot, the core effective components of CASITA are high-quality training and supervision; structured community-based sessions to deliver evidence-based coaching on parenting behaviour and child stimulation; and validation of caregivers’ parenting efforts.
