Investment Manager (3 Positions)

Grand Challenges Canada (GCC) is seeking Investment Managers to play critical roles in supporting the development and oversight of a portfolio of Transition-to-Scale (TTS) investments in innovations that save and improve lives in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) through two initiatives: (i) development innovation focused on reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health (RMNCH) and (ii) the Humanitarian Grand Challenge (HGC): Creating Hope in Conflict. Formally reporting to a Senior Investment Manager, and working closely with other Investment Managers, Associates, Program Officers, and the broader programs teams, Investment Managers will play a key role in developing, shaping and managing a growing portfolio of TTS investments in innovative products, services and implementation models.

Finance Partner

Grand Challenges Canada (GCC) is seeking a Finance Partner (FP). This position will play an integral part of the Finance – Programs Team, overseeing a portfolio of programs/initiatives at Grand Challenges Canada. Working closely with the Programs and Investment teams, the FP provides financial services during pre-award and post-award to innovators. As the FP, you are an adaptable, proactive individual with a strong willingness to learn and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. The responsibilities of the FP include budget reviews, institutional risk assessments, providing advice and guidance to the Programs/Investment teams and innovators, innovator financial report reviews, etc.

Finance Co-op Student (January 2020)

Grand Challenges Canada (GCC) is seeking a Finance Co-op student (starting January 2020). As a Finance Co-op student you are an adaptable, proactive individual with a strong willingness to learn and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. The responsibilities of the Co-op student is to assist the Finance Team in providing financial services to both the Programs and Corporate teams at Grand Challenges Canada. The Finance Co-op student will also perform a range of professional and detailed accounting activities requiring good knowledge and fundamental applications of accounting theory, principles and practices.
