Knowledge Management and Translation Associate, Indigenous Innovation Initiative

Grand Challenges Canada (GCC) is seeking a Knowledge Management and Translation Associate to work within the Indigenous Innovation Initiative (I3) to ensure efficient, high quality knowledge creation, sharing, and integration for internal and external audiences. Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Knowledge Management and Translation (KMT), the Knowledge Management & Translation Associate’s responsibilities will include knowledge management, knowledge creation and translation, and systems improvement.

Communications and Event Management Student (2020)

Grand Challenges Canada (GCC) is seeking a Communications and Event Management Student to support the execution of the organization’s communications strategy, with a particular emphasis in creating a successful 10th Anniversary event to take place in Ottawa with key stakeholders. The Communications and Event Management Student will work closely with the Director of Operations, Communications Officer and the Operations and Administrative Coordinators. Program Associate (Global Mental Health)

Grand Challenges Canada (GCC) is seeking a Program Associate (Global Mental Health) to play a critical role in supporting the implementation of the Global Mental Health program, the ultimate aim of which is to seed and transition to scale high impact innovations that improve treatments and/or expand access to care for people (especially youth) living with or at risk of mental disorders. Investment Manager, Humanitarian Grand Challenge

Grand Challenges Canada (GCC) is seeking an Investment Manager to play a critical role in supporting the development and oversight of a portfolio of Transition-to-Scale investments in innovations under the Creating Hope in Conflict: A Humanitarian Grand Challenge program. The Humanitarian Grand Challenge funding program, launched in February 2018, aims to identify and support groundbreaking solutions that engage the private sector and draw from the experiences of affected communities in order to significantly improve—and in many cases, save—the lives of vulnerable people affected by conflict.

Finance Manager, Corporate

Grand Challenges Canada (GCC) is seeking a Finance Manager (Corporate) to manage and oversee the financial activities of the Corporate unit within the organization. The role includes managing all corporate financial activities, reviewing financial statements and reports, accounting/financial memos, ad-hoc projects and the training and development of staff. The role includes managing a team of Finance Partners to oversee 400+ active projects and due diligence on new projects during the negotiation phase. Executive Assistant

Grand Challenges Canada (GCC) is seeking an Executive Assistant for a temporary full-time (12 months) contract. The Executive Assistant provides effective management and coordination of the flow of information between the Leadership Team, other internal team members and external stakeholders. They will also provide administrative support to the Secretary of the Board (currently the Chief Strategy Officer), using discretion, and understanding their priorities and an excellent grasp on a wide variety of activities.

Grand Challenges Canada (GCC) is seeking a Finance Partner to play an integral part of the Finance – Programs Team, overseeing a portfolio of programs/initiatives at Grand Challenges Canada. Working closely with the Programs and Investment teams, the Finance Partner provides financial services during pre-award and post-award to innovators.

Finance Co-op Student (January 2020)

Grand Challenges Canada (GCC) is seeking a Finance Co-op student (starting January 2020). As a Finance Co-op student you are an adaptable, proactive individual with a strong willingness to learn and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. The responsibilities of the Co-op student is to assist the Finance Team in providing financial services to both the Programs and Corporate teams at Grand Challenges Canada. The Finance Co-op student will also perform a range of professional and detailed accounting activities requiring good knowledge and fundamental applications of accounting theory, principles and practices.
