Being
Being is a global mental health initiative that envisions a world where young people feel well and thrive.
We are investing in Transition to Scale (TTS) innovations that address the root causes of young people’s distress before they escalate, strengthening the environments where they live, learn, and grow in: Colombia, Ecuador, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Morocco, Pakistan, Romania, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, and Vietnam.
We strongly encourage applications from, and will give preference to, youth-led organizations based in Being’s 12 countries.
Request for Proposals
Available funding
We are investing $300,000-$1,500,000 CAD in Transition to Scale (TTS) innovations, meaning approaches that have already been proven effective, and are now ready to be implemented more widely. Please refer to our ‘Our investment approach’ page for more details on how we define Transition to Scale.
Each of the 12 countries we’re investing in has its own specific funding focus to address one key driver of youth mental health. For details of each country’s priority funding areas (and assess if your proposed solution can address those specific challenges) please read the Request for Proposals document.
Who can apply?
Any legally recognized organization can apply for this opportunity. Priority will be given to youth-led organizations based in one of the 12 countries.

All proposals must be submitted by March 31, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. ET (7:00 P.M. GMT).
