Zeba Tasci

Associate Communications Officer

Zeba Tasci is the Associate Communications Officer for the Humanitarian Grand Challenge Program.

Prior to joining Grand Challenges Canada, Zeba completed her Joint Honours degree in Communication and Sociology from the University of Ottawa. During her studies, Zeba actively pursued Health Communications research, with specific focus on the role of communication processes in improving health outcomes among marginalized communities and promoting broader social changes in health contexts.

She was previously the Communications Coordinator for Informed Opinions, a not-for-profit organization seeking to amplify women’s voices, working to ensure diverse women’s perspectives and priorities are equitably integrated into Canadian society. Her work with Informed Opinions included providing support in research, recruitment, communication and outreach initiatives, as well as building expert profiles and connecting journalists to diverse sources. Zeba has also worked for the Government of Canada, with the Public Health Agency, Charities Directorate, and Immigration and Refugees, Citizenship Canada.

Grand Challenges Canada’s programs are primarily undertaken with the financial support of the Government of Canada provided through Global Affairs Canada.
