Sonali is a Program Associate for the Options for Pregnancy Termination Innovation Initiative. In this role, she supports strategic management of the portfolio, due diligence, and negotiation processes as well as support for innovators throughout the duration of their projects.
Prior to joining Grand Challenges Canada, she worked as a consultant at New Philanthropy Capital in London advising charities, funders, and government clients on how to improve their effectiveness. Previously, she was a Senior Analyst at Dasra, a Mumbai based strategic philanthropy foundation, where she led pre-investment evaluation and development of business plans for non-profits working to improve reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health (RMNCH) in India. During her graduate studies, she worked at the Clinton Health Access Initiative in Cambodia, CARE and Innovations for Poverty Action in Zambia supporting various programs focused on improving SRHR and gender equality.
She holds a Master of Public Administration in Development Practice from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Sciences from Oxford University.
