Samiya Anjum Bhuiya is a Data Coordinator at Grand Challenges Canada supporting the Knowledge Management and Translation team in managing results arising from the Bold Ideas with Big Impact® that Grand Challenges Canada funds. Working primarily on Grand Challenges Canada’s largest portfolio that focuses on Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (RMNCH), she is responsible for analyzing and managing data to support the Knowledge Management and Translation team as they write reports, produce knowledge products and respond to information requests.
Samiya attended University of Toronto, St George where she obtained her BSc degree in Global Health. Prior to joining Grand Challenges Canada Samiya has worked in the finance industry, providing support in areas of operations and administration. She has completed a post graduate diploma in Project Management from Humber College, and is currently pursuing her Project Management Professional (PMP) designation. She is interested in issues addressing maternal and child health and rights, as well as community health and development.
