Richel is the Administrative Coordinator for the Indigenous Innovation Initiative (I3) hosted at Grand Challenges Canada. She supports the I3 team including both the knowledge management and translation functions (KMT) and grant programs for the group. She has spent the past decade helping people through complex processes, building inclusion in the workplace, and managing administrative and talent programs in various private sector industries such as health care, market research, and retail.
Richel is a Métis woman and member of the Métis Nation of Alberta. Her work experience includes supporting people in locations across Canada – from coast to coast. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV), an Associate Certificate in Marketing Management-Public Relations from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), and several professional designations in the human resources field. Her goal is to help build diverse, inclusive, and accessible workplaces where everyone can flourish, and she is passionate about promoting arts, culture, and ideas in her community.
