Patricia Sayer is a Senior Financial Analyst (Compliance) for Grand Challenges Canada, where her main responsibility is to lead all aspects of financial support to the Indigenous Initiative Innovation program area of the organization, including enabling innovators to meet pre-award and post-award financial requirements. She also conducts spot-check audits on funding recipients to ensure their financial reporting adheres to Grand Challenges Canada’s funding requirements.
Prior to joining Grand Challenges Canada, Patricia was a Manager of Standards and Certification at the First Nations Financial Management Board. Patricia graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelors of Commerce and has obtained the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
Patricia is a proud urban Saulteaux -Métis woman originally from Saskatchewan who is grateful to make her home in Vancouver as a guest on the unceeded, ancestral and sacred territory of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples.
