Neelam is a Portfolio Manager with the Global Health Innovation team leading the Medical Products and Technologies Portfolio. In this role, she manages all stages of the deal process, from sourcing and screening pipeline to negotiations and management post-investment, seeking to support the most promising innovations in low resources settings.
Neelam has been engaged in social innovation sector for over 9 years. She has trained and mentored over 140 startups in 7 South Asian countries, mentored young leaders from over 16 countries in the North America, Europe, South Asia, and Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. She is a strong advocate for using technology and innovation for economic, financial, and social inclusion of the marginalized.
Neelam is a Fulbright scholar with a master’s in public administration from The Ohio State University. She studied incubation management and gender inclusion at the University of Queensland, Australia as an Australia Awards Grantee. She was a Swedish Institute Leaders Lab fellow and a DICE Social Innovation Exchange fellow. Neelam is member of Global Shapers Islamabad Hub (World Economic Forum) and a TechCamp trainer for the US State Department.
