Megan Dover is the Acting Senior Portfolio Manager with the Every Woman Every Child Innovation Marketplace, a strategic alliance of development innovation organizations including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Grand Challenges Canada, the United States Agency for International Development and the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation. The Innovation Marketplace is hosted at Grand Challenges Canada.
Prior to joining the Every Women Every Child Innovation Marketplace, Megan held both senior finance and strategy roles at Vale Canada, where she gained extensive experience in financial reporting, financial modeling, and strategic planning for operating assets and capital projects. Recently, she was an advisor at the Creative Destruction Lab (CDL), a seed-stage tech incubator focused on artificial intelligence (AI), where she also invested in start-ups and secured consulting work for individual companies. Early in her career, Megan led the technology diligence for several multibillion-dollar transactions within the industrial sector and worked as a research engineer for a biotech startup.
Megan is a published author, having contributed to the book ‘How We Can Win’, a book that provides a stepwise approach to saving the Canadian Economy from falling behind and being disrupted by global technological change and innovation. Megan is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) and holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the Rotman School of Management, receiving a Dean’s list ranking. She earned her Engineering degree with Honors from Queen’s University, specializing in Biomedical research within Chemical Engineering.
