Lucia is Peruvian, of mixed ancestry, and a settler in unceded Algonquin Anishinaabe territory (colonially known as Gatineau, Quebec) along with her two cats. She is a storyteller and entrepreneur; her passions include social enterprise and building just and equitable systems, institutions, and communities.
Lucia has a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science with a minor in Psychology from the University of Ottawa and volunteers at the National Eating Disorder Information Centre (NEDIC). Prior to joining the I3 team, Lucia was the Project Manager of the Indigenous Solutions Lab on Diabetes Reduction at the Raven Indigenous Impact Foundation, where she led a multi-stakeholder process to create a social finance tool that would fund Indigenous-led diabetes reduction interventions in six First Nations. She is studying to become a certified Trauma of Money facilitator and is a virtual assistant to amazing female founders when she’s not in the office.
