Kaitlin Strachan is a Finance Partner at Grand Challenges Canada (GCC), where her main responsibility is to provide financial support to the Programs area of the organization, enabling innovators to meet pre-award and post-award financial requirements. Kaitlin conducts institutional risk assessments, reviews innovators’ budgets during the negotiation process, reviews innovators’ financial reports and assists throughout the life-cycle of projects. She also provides financial guidance to the Programs/Investments Teams and leads innovator financial information sessions.
Prior to joining the Grand Challenges Canada team, Kaitlin was a Finance Prime at Bell Canada, where she was responsible for managing program budgets and providing project governance. While completing a Bachelor of Commerce, at the University of Guelph, she interned with Hydro One in Corporate Tax and with the Ministry of Natural Resources, as a Revenue Analyst. Kaitlin is actively pursuing her Chartered Professional Accountant designation and volunteers at Centre for Addictions and Mental Health.
