Janne Dingemans is a Program Coordinator at Grand Challenges Canada. She manages the Saving Lives at Birth portfolio of innovations and leads Grand Challenges Canada’s participation in the partnership.
Originally from the Netherlands, Janne lived in India and East Africa prior to settling in Canada. She studied International Development at the University of Wageningen, specializing in Rural Sociology for her MSc. Having been with Grand Challenges Canada for over five years, she brings extensive knowledge of the grant making process, contract compliance and innovation management to the portfolio. Previously she has worked for an Ontario government program administrating training grants to Ontario’s farm community and helped set up an association to support harvesters of Canada’s Indigenous foods in Ontario. She is passionate about fostering the growth of healthy communities and sustainable livelihoods for people around the world and is honored to support Saving Lives at Birth innovators in their attempts to improve access to healthcare for the world’s rural and remote populations.
