Eva Mitre is a Finance Partner at Grand Challenges Canada (GCC), where her main responsibility is to provide financial support to the Programs area of the organization, enabling innovators to meet pre-award and post-award financial requirements. Eva conducts institutional risk assessments, reviews innovators’ budgets during the negotiation process, reviews innovators’ financial reports and assists throughout the life-cycle of projects. She also provides financial guidance to the Programs/Investments Teams and leads innovator financial information sessions.
Prior to joining Grand Challenges Canada, Eva worked as a Senior Associate in Risk and Core Assurance at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), working with a wide variety of clients on their financial reporting and technology & business risk evaluations. During her time at PwC, she also undertook a secondment in New York City to work with an international insurance organization.
Eva has also been a keen microfinancier since 2015 and is a volunteer in local civic and technological activities. She obtained a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto, has completed her CPA requirements and is currently pursuing her CFA designation.
