Anne-Isabelle (Annie) Cameron is the Program Associate for the Options for Pregnancy Termination Innovation (OPTions) Initiative at Grand Challenges Canada, and works at both the seed and transition-to-scale investment levels.
Annie is responsible for the OPTions Initiative portfolio, including launching funding opportunities, negotiating funding agreements, supporting innovators throughout their implementation, and engaging partners. Annie also leads investment negotiations and supports due diligence on commercial and non-commercial investments for the transition-to-scale portfolio, with a specific focus on sexual and reproductive health and rights. Prior to joining Grand Challenges Canada, Annie spent time working with two grassroots organizations in Kigali, Rwanda. Annie is passionate about gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls globally.
Annie holds a B.A. (Honours) in Global Development and Economics from Queen’s University. During her studies, she completed one year at the Bader International Study Center in the UK and one semester of field studies in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania through McGill University’s Canadian Field Studies in East Africa program.
