Angela Bellegarde is the Program Officer for the Indigenous Innovation Initiative of Grand Challenges Canada.
Angela holds an MBA degree with a focus on Indigenous Business from the University of Saskatchewan. In addition, Angela is the first Indigenous person to graduate from the College of Pharmacy and Nutrition with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition at the University of Saskatchewan. She completed the Community Nutrition Internship program to qualify her as a Professional Dietitian. Angela has been the inaugural force behind two successful start ups in health care and academia. She is also a band member of Peepeekisis Cree First Nation. She is thrilled to bring her passion for making a positive difference in the lives of Indigenous people; a legacy she shares with her family.
