The project will develop and pilot the "InterVent mobile app" providing information and skills training to members of the female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C) practicing Dawoodi Bohra community in India. The app will guide users on how to have effective conversations with family/friends about the need to end FGM/C through the use of mock scenarios developed through artificial intelligence. The app will be marketed through social media community networks and targeted advertising in regions where the community is concentrated.
