Through free mobile health, legal and counselling services, and Arts based healing and economic empowerment, the Orange Tent Initiative will support survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) regain emotional and economic wellbeing and reduce stigma around accessing SGBV and SRHR services in Zimbabwe. The tent will be located in SGBV hotspots and remote rural locations where accessing health and legal services is difficult or stigmatized. Katswe’s existing services (Arts-Handicrafts for economic empowerment, Young Women’s legal desk, Counselling, and Advocacy) will be integrated into the tent to create spaces for SRHR and SGBV education, legal support, counselling, and economic empowerment. Mobile clinics will provide key services including HIV testing and provisioning of orange vouchers which will enable women to access free health services at selected clinics.
