The project will leverage Community Health Clubs (CHCs) to empower communities to take a lead role in identifying solutions to SGBV and advocate for better services for victims in four villages in Mayuge district, Uganda. Through these clubs, the community will receive information about SGBV and the available post-violence care services. CHCs will also empower women financially by equipping them with entrepreneurial and savings skills. This will enhance their financial independence and reduce the vulnerability to SGBV. Additionally, a community SGBV score card will also be developed through the CHCs and community dialogues to enhance reporting and generate evidence on SGBV in Mayuge district.
