KadAfrica is an innovative agribusiness that uses passion fruit farming to empower out of school girls in Western Uganda. The innovation provides an end-to-end business solution that empowers girls ages 14 to 24 to become less vulnerable and participate in their local economies. This holistic business solution connects girls’ agricultural yields to the mass market for distribution and gives them 100% ownership of the farms after a 10-month growth period. The girls are equipped with knowledge, skills, and assets to begin their own farms and become entrepreneurial leaders generating income through agribusiness. This is a capacity building program that yields tangible financial results, improved health outcomes and household level change.
