FacebookTwitterLinked In

Start Date: 01/09/2018- End Date: 03/11/2019

HOPE is a unique model for cervical cancer screening that uses new technologies, such as molecular testing for HPV.  Women from the community are trained to share knowledge about cervical cancer with other women, and to promote self-collection of samples. While free screening will be provided to low-income women, for high-income women, marketing strategies and new channels of distribution will drive demand for testing, which will be performed for a fee. Collection boxes will allow women to leave their samples at any time. Results will be sent through SMS text messages to women’s cell phones, along with educational messages, reminders and appointment details.
