Early Childhood Development Planning
The Government of Bangladesh provides a lactating allowance for two years for poor urban mothers, to help improve maternal and child health in the country. By integrating Early Child Development (ECD) activities into this program and measuring effects on child cognition and behaviour, the goal is to improve child development. If the combined package proves more cost effective, large-scale intervention through the Government and other stakeholders will be pursued.
