Start Date: 01/01/2018- End Date: 31/12/2019

This project communicates with pregnant women using SMS text messaging and via Facebook messenger, with the goal of identifying adverse health events, behaviours or social issues that could potentially harm the mother or child. During pregnancy, the software's "chatbots" send highly personalized and engaging healthcare content, and ask questions about any symptoms and antenatal appointment attendance. Artificial Intelligence personalizes the content mothers receive and interprets their responses, which are aggregated and monitored through an online platform by clients (mainly public and private healthcare systems in Brazil). Adverse indications signal a healthcare professional to text back to help resolve the issue or direct the appropriate resources; just one healthcare professional can monitor thousands of pregnancies.
