This project will improve the self-regulation and executive functioning skills of children ages 2 to 3 from low-income households in rural areas of Bangladesh by educating mothers through group sessions on playful engagement with their children. The results of a randomized controlled trial studying the effectiveness of early stimulation will provide significant insight into and shape future interventions in the field of early childhood development. Even though a family faces hardships, the play-based parenting for early stimulation of the child can bring about positive outcomes with its design aimed towards a low-cost intervention that is affordable, available, acceptable and accessible.
