LarvaFinder is an add-on device to a smartphone combined with a mobile application for public health agents to reliably detect in real-time the presence of live mosquito larvae in any stagnant water body. Conceptualized at the Massachusetts General Hospital Zika Innovation Hackathon, this innovation is seeking to be part of the CAMTech Accelerator Program.
Through the milestone driven funding, access to mentorship and strategic partners and business acceleration support, the LarvaFinder team intends to co-create with end-users, complete design and feasibility studies, file IP and launch a pilot program in Panama.
