Leeat Gellis joined Grand Challenges Canada from Social Capital Partners where, as Manager, Social Finance, she led the organization’s impact investment portfolio and social finance initiatives. Previously, Leeat worked with Grassroots Business Fund as a Consultant to the fund’s social enterprise investees in Tanzania. She also has prior experience in investment banking at Capital Canada and in various finance-related roles at Unilever and Nestle Canada.
Leeat currently teaches ‘Investing for Impact’ at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. She is a member of the Catapult Microloan Fund and Youth Social Innovation Capital Fund Investment committees, and previously served as Co-Chair of Acumen’s Toronto chapter. She has an MBA from the Rotman School of Management and a BBA from the Schulich School of Business.
